No license means that that do not have the required insurance to carry passengers,if your vehicle is stopped by the authorities your journey in that vehicle will be terminated, and you will need to make alternative arrangements to commence your journey. Like many scams, it relies on the fact you're a bit bewildered and unaware, Refuse any unlicensed taxis regardless of the price, it is never as safe as using licensed ones.

If you choose to use a company that is not Licence by the Local Authorities then you have no comeback against that company in any way and you have no way of knowing if those drivers are insured for the carriage of passengers.

They will tell you they are licence then request their operators license number and even take the time to check with the Local Authority that they are licence, it really is in your own interest to ensure that you do this.

One of the most confusing aspects of taxi fares is the "waiting" charge, which can be as much as £20 per hour with some companies. We are all comfortable with the idea of paying a taxi driver to wait while we do a quick errand, but the waiting charge also applies when the taxicab is stopped in traffic or is moving very, very s lowly. The meter can tell how fast the taxicab is moving and will switch to "waiting" fare mode once the vehicle slows down to approximately 10 miles per hour. which all adds to your total fare.

Look out for any waiting time charges most charge about £15:00 per hour and on many occasions we have heard of people being charged hourly from the time the flight is scheduled to land rather than the time it actually lands if your flight is late by a couple of hours that's an extra £30:00 added on.

Also check for "All car parking fees must be paid" again Why? if the company knew their business they would get their driver to the arrivals gate at about the same time as the customer thus avoiding long car park charges and the maximum charge for 1 hours airport car parking at the most expensive Airport is only £6.50

Also look out for different rates IE only £50:00 from Manchester but £38:00 to go to Manchester its the same distance if you are coming or going!.

Others say from the Airport to central city point for a fixed price well central Leeds is a fairly small area and if your journey doesn't terminate in that area then they will add extra charges for that as well some even charge you extra for going on a motorway.
